Our story
GOIN’ was founded in 2013 as an extension of Justin Bergener’s successful work as the CEO of Medstar, the largest ADA Paratransit and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) provider in the Pacific Northwest. At its core GOIN’ is designed to eliminate barriers and empower all people with disabilities with the freedom to choose a public or private ride provider that works best for them— all from a single app.
In 2015, GOIN’ partnered with the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority on the FTA Mobility-on-Demand Sandbox grant to deploy the first fully integrated Mobility-on-Demand Marketplace that empowered people with disabilities to choose the curb-to-curb ride provider of their choice from a single app.
Since then GOIN’ has continued to grow and innovate on projects such as the Pierce Transit Runner and Zip Alderwood Shuttle which empowers their communities with ADA accessible first-mile/last-mile connections and on-demand microtransit.
