Community Transit Partners with GOIN’ for the Zip Alderwood Shuttle Pilot

Community Transit recently launched a pilot project called the Zip Alderwood Shuttle. The pilot, which was launched last October, will provide on-demand shuttle rides to and from the area around the Lynnwood Transit Center. 

Four cars will be designated for the Alderwood area, operating seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Adults pay $2.50, the same as a local bus ride.  Additionally, passengers have access to enter a pick-up and drop-off area. The vehicle should arrive within 15 minutes to take passengers to their destinations.

The GOIN’ app allows riders to schedule dynamic demand-responsive transit services. With a customizable platform and over 8 years of operational experience, we are providing our private and public partners with award-winning transit systems.

With the cooperation of everyone in the community, Zip Alderwood was created to make moving around Lynnwood easier and more accessible. The Zip Alderwood Shuttle will continue as a one-year pilot program until October 2023. If the results are beneficial to the community, such service will be continued. Community Transit may soon introduce similar services in Arlington, Darrington, and Lake Stevens.
